Rules of the Dog Park
Pay Attention. Take a look at our Safety Tips for advice on how to avoid injury at the dog park.
Dogs must be supervised by their owners/handlers at all times. Owners/handlers must remain inside the park and within view & voice-control of their dogs.
All park users must observe city laws and ordinances regarding their pets, including:
Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated. Visit ACCT Philly to license your dog.
Dog waste must be disposed of properly. We stock the park with biodegradable poop bags.
Dogs outside of the run must remain on leash at all times. Leashes must be shorter than 6'.
The following dogs are NOT permitted in the dog run:
Puppies under 4 months and ANY dog not fully vaccinated as recommended.
Un-neutered male dogs.
Female dogs in heat.
Sick dogs and dogs experiencing pain from chronic illness or injury.
No biting, fighting, or bullying of dogs OR people. Harassment will not be tolerated.
Dogs who display aggressive behavior must be removed from the dog park immediately.
Collars must be worn in the dog run. The following collars are NOT permitted in the dog run:
Prong, Choke, Heavy Chain Link, Spike Collars
No toys are allowed in the dog run except for standard tennis balls.
Smoking is never permitted in the dog run or any public park.
Food and alcohol are not allowed in the dog run, except during permitted events.
Owners/handlers are limited to three (3) dogs per person at any time.
Please fill in any holes caused by your dog's digging. We have shovels & rakes by the shed.
Children 10 and under are not allowed to enter the dog run. Children 11-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Be Advised: All persons entering Seger Dog Park assume any and all risks & hazards associated with use of the dog run.
